About Us
Welcome to The Deli — a family-run café at the heart of The Dittons since 2010. Located on Winters Bridge, we’ve spent over a decade serving good food, good coffee, and genuine hospitality to our neighbours, regulars, and anyone passing through.
Our Story
The Deli began as a small family business with a simple idea: create a friendly local spot where people could enjoy fresh, honest food made with care. Over the years, we’ve grown into a staple of the Thames Ditton community — a place where customers quickly become familiar faces, and where the atmosphere feels as warm as the food.

Our Owners
Since opening in 2010, The Deli has been shaped by the passion and experience of its owners, Chris and Louise. Together, they’ve brought a unique blend of culinary expertise, creativity, and family warmth to the village.
Chris began his career training with The Roux Brothers in London, before moving on to work in Michelin-starred restaurants in France. He also spent many years cooking aboard luxury superyachts around the world. His global experience — from fine dining to bold street-food flavours — inspires much of our menu today.
Louise works alongside him to bring the friendly, community-driven feel that defines The Deli, helping create an environment where everyone feels welcome.
Today, The Deli serves fresh, healthy food seven days a week and offers catering for all occasions, from intimate events to corporate gatherings.

We’re proud to use fresh sourdough bread for all our sandwiches and bagels, giving every bite the perfect texture and flavour. Everything is prepared with quality ingredients and the kind of care you only get from a small, dedicated team.
A Viral Moment
In 2025, we were visited by food reviewer Charlie Betts, who tried our Brisket & Egg Bagel and called it “one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had.” His video gained over 1.5 million views, bringing new customers from all over and highlighting what makes The Deli special.
